SENIOR ANIMATION DIRECTOR

I was full-time at Flimp Communications for three years. I had the pleasure of working on a multitude of video projects, product development, and growing and managing a department from the ground up.

PRODUCTION:
I served as the resident video expert, and did a lot of heavy lifting for animation and post-production services on high-volume client work.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT:
I was tasked with creating production standards, animation templates, and design systems that would upgrade efficiencies, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction. The semi-custom employee benefits video system that I spearheaded became Flimp’s top-selling product within one year.

TEAM LEAD:
I was lucky enough to hire on and manage a small team of immensely talented creatives. I also developed materials and resources to creatively direct and guide Flimp’s bullpen of trusted freelancers.

Flimp’s main video production services are geared toward 2D explainer videos that serve companies’ employee communications needs. With the massive help of my team, I created the combination of templates, asset libraries, and business rules that allowed us to scale this set of products.

“Busy Season” as we all lovingly called it, was the flood gates opening in the fall as a massive number of customers prepared content with us for Benefits Open Enrollment. The volume business inspired us to work hard to make sure our design systems squeezed the “good, fast, cheap” triangle so that clients really did feel like they could get all three.

It can’t be overstated how much Flimp contributed to my professional development. They are a customer service-focused company packed with talent and experience. Because of the creative achievements I was encouraged to pursue, we both grew and flourished during my time there.
